Carnival of the Mobilists is holding a series of competitions this week. One for post of the year and the other for host of the year. I was surprised yesterday to find out i’d been chosen as finalist in the top 10 posts category. There are lots of great entries this year…
Prizes are graciously being offered by Khosla Ventures with full details regarding the competition available at MobHappy.
Be sure to vote online for post of the year (password: mobilists) then visit MobHappy once again for details on how to vote for Host of the Year.
The winners will be annouced on Monday evening at the Global Peer Awards 3GSM party. And if you can’t make it to Barcelona (like myself…our trip was cancelled ) you can watch the event live on the web (via Vancouver’s ComVu!) starting at 3pm.
Good luck to everyone!
Another week, another Carnival. Don’t miss this installment of the Carnival of the Mobilists (#38), hosted by Judy Breck at SmartMobs.
The Carnival has also announced the winner of last month’s ‘Post of the Month’ and ‘Host of the Month.’ Congratulations to Rudy who wins host of the month. And it seems, I beat out C. Enrique Ortiz’ ‘Mobile Perimiter‘ post (by a hair) to win the June post of the month with “Casual Mobile Snacks for Everyone“. Many thanks to everyone who voted and to Khosla Ventures for sponsoring the competition.
This installment of the Carnival of the Mobilists (#35) is hosted by Xen Mendelsohn of Xellular Identity.
This week’s Carnival follows a World Cup theme with lots of good stuff including my recent Canadian mobile industry rant (I’ve been getting lots of traffic off this post already which is a bit of a surprise—quite a few people seem to be looking for this type of information within and outside Canada.)
I like the way Xen broke the Carnival post up by topic (mobile web, mobile marketing etc.)—could be great idea long-term from an search engine/findability point of view (especially if we all follow the same format and start using tags to format the sub-titles for added indexability.)
Yeah…yeah…it’s early and I didn’t sleep enough yesterday due to an alarm clock mishap at the hotel.
So if you’d like to vote for me on Carnival of the Mobilists, maybe I should provide you with a link this time
I’m back from California to some good news (more on the trip later.) My recent post “Casual Mobile Snacks for Everyone” has been nominated as post of the month on Carnival of Mobilists. It’s 7am on the west coast and so far I seem to be in the lead by quite a few votes If you enjoyed the post a few weeks back—be sure to vote for me!
While I was in San Jose, I was contacted by an Italian group who is also making ‘mobile snacks’ (they’re even using the same term which is quite serendipitous.) Their current focus seems to be music and culture. I haven’t had a chance to try their applications yet but there are several available for download on their site.
And thanks a bunch to Rudy at M-Trends for the nomination
This week’s Carnival of the Mobilists (#33) is hosted by Rudy de Waele of mTrends. For those of you who don’t know Rudy, he recently helped launch Mobile Monday Barcelona which has a smashing series of presenters lined up for its inaugural meeting on July 3rd.
This week’s carnival features yours truly (this is actually my second week on the Carnival—I was very bad last week and plumb forgot to reciprocate the post as well as an interesting Flash Lite-related post by Tom Soft “Another Flash from a J2ME Developer’s Perspective.”
This is a great issue actually—tons of interesting and diverse links so don’t miss it.
